Senior Minister Col (r) Ubaid Ullah Baig took oath of newly founded cabinet and handed them shields to the newly founding cabinet and members. While addressing the audience Senior Minister Col (r) Ubaid Ullah Baig congratulated the newly founded cabinet and promised to support them and to work together for the betterment of women of Gilgit Division. Founding president Miss Khush Noor Didar, Senior vice president Miss Asiya Bano, Vice president Miss Razia Bano along with the executive members, Miss Shamim Bano, Miss Maryam, Miss Farida, Miss Marvi, Dilshad, Jubilee, Shakila, and Shahnaz and many others were present at the ceremony where they shared their thoughts individually and they promised to work day night for the betterment of the newly founded chamber. Miss Khushnoor Didar presented thanks note to the cabinet and she promised to work for the development of women of Gilgit Division.
CeremonyToday (30th March 2022), a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Shahid Javed Burki Institute of Public Policy at NetSol (BIPP) and the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries Gilgit Division (WCCIGD). The document was duly endorsed with the signatures of Dr. Muhammad Ejaz Sandhu (Director, Operations, Education and Learning BIPP) and Ms. Khushnoor Dildar (Founder WCCIGD). The purpose of this MOU is to modulate a framework of cooperation between the Parties, in the areas of mutual interest. Additionally, cooperative initiatives and exchanges particularly in areas of Education, R&D, Training and Development, Food Security, Women empowerment and Climate Change will be encouraged.

An orientation session of the project “Empowerment of SMEs/Artisans through E-commerce; Business development and managing Value Chain in Gilgit-Baltistan” has been organized by Hunza Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI). The project has been awarded by Export Development Fund (EPF), Ministry of Commerce. The technical backstopping of the TDAP Gilgit office to HCCI will remain there during the project period. The project will be executed by Karakorum Area Development Organization (KADO). Targeting 500 Artisans, the project will benefit six districts of Gilgit-Baltistan including Hunza, Nagar, Gilgit, Ghizer, Diamer, and Skardu. Respective Chamber Presidents assure their support and cooperation. The first-ever women Chamber of Commerce & Industry-Gilgit Division also participated and expressed their gratitude for the special invitation. Chairman, KADO expressed their full support for the success of the mentioned project. In the end, Senior Minister for Trade, Labor & Commerce Gilgit-Baltistan addresses the session and assures his Ministry support to all Chambers. Mr. Minister urges that chambers play their due role for the betterment of the business community of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Hunza, Gilgit Baltistan: 6-day Summer Exhibition was concluded on Wednesday, 6 July 2022. The Summer Exhibition was organised by Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gilgit Division (WCCIGD). Large number of females participated in the exhibition. The exhibition was inaugurated by Formal Federal Minister and Central Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on July 1. Stalls of various domestic and international brands were established in the exhibition. Talking to the media, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan praised and appreciated the woman chamber for organizing the exhibition. As a women's chamber in Gilgit Division, the Women Chamber of Commerce, and Industry Gilgit Division (WCCIGD) believe in the potential of women entrepreneurs of Gilgit, and it is our main aim to promote the women of Gilgit in business. There are more than 500 women entrepreneurs who need our assistance to become independent and successful. They are facing so many hurdles in the development of their businesses; we want to empower them.
